After blogging last night I realized that i was at a No Doubt show on this day in 1997. I’ve been to A LOT of shows and they’re amazing to see live. I’ve still yet to experience the palpable energy that not only could be felt from the band but from the crowd as well. I’ve also yet to experience a pit as brutal as an NxD pit. I don’t care if you think you’ve been in the most brutal pit, slamming, kicking, punching, whatever, i’ve been in them all too. A NxD pit will squeeze the life out of you. They’re also the most diverse band i’ve heard. If you listen to their self titled album through to Rock Steady you will hear an ever changing flow of sound and ideas. The Beacon Street Collection best exemplifies this diversity. Every track is different and every track is good. My favourite No Doubt album.
